Idea

Experimental piece set in the future, Phone addiction is now treated in a similar way to cigarette addiction.
The long term effects of phone/technology usage has now become apparent, causing cancer, mental health problems (like anxiety and depression), lack of self worth, insecurities, decreasing social skills and impairing eyesight. 

There will be no dialog used in my film, except in the use of subliminal messages. I plan to create my piece with a psychedelic vibe to represent mind control. I will be using the studio for the majority of my film with low light and use of gels. 

I will look into smoking adverts, both old and new to see the glamourised portrayal cigarettes used to have and how they are portrayed now, compared to phone adverts.

Cigarette ads were glamourised and used to distract the customer from the real truth and harm behind cigarettes.

Cigarette adverts used to be colourful and bold, grabbing the attention of the reader.
The adverts use a lot of blue, green and red colours, very similar to current phone adverts. 


-There is designated phone shelters outside for people who wish to use their phone. Phones can no longer be used in public places like pubs, schools. shops ect.-

Capture people using their phone in everyday life, having them unaware that I will be filming them, No faces in shot, and I will be gathering this footage as I observe the usage of technology throughout the day. shot on smartphone and laptop as I want to achieve that specific look. 
 Editing - this will be used for split seconds in-between other footage (trippy) or layered over other footage
